The Java Sea conjures up visions of deserted islands with exotic coconut palm fringed beaches gently lapped by azure warm waters, magnificent coral reefs teeming with rainbow-coloured fish and verdant mountains forming a background against the endless horizons. Images of fishermen casting nets and sailing ships with strange arrays of sails from a bye-gone year, also come to mind. We have planned an incredible voyage of discovery among these islands of the Java Sea on board the small ship M/V Clipper Odyssey, a vessel especially designed for expedition cruising. She combines the amenities of a cruise ship with the intimacy of a small expedition vessel, offering exceptional personalized service, superior comfort levels, freshly made-to-order food, and a friendly, obliging staff.
